I recall how easy it was as a kid to make choices on what seemed to be "very important issues" at that time. We thought it was a challenge choosing between having chocolate or cheese ice cream; playing chinese garter or patintero with friends; doing homework or play outdoor games with friends during the weekends. As time went by, i realized that life is indeed "like a box of chocolates. You'll never know what you're gonna get." Oh... to be a kid again. To live a carefree life, not minding others but my own.
It is November 30, 2009 and i have been married for 10 months, 1 week and 5 days today. Our marriage is great - i am blessed by God with a wonderful man, one who truly completes me. Ours is a long distance hardship, oooooops, i mean relationship. He is in America and i'm in the wonderful island of the Philippines and that in itself poses a difficult challenge, far from choosing between chocolate or cheese ice cream. I would never have had it any other way though. It may not be easy but it makes me look forward to what is inside my box of chocolates.
